These rules explain who may use Popaz, how content and recommendations work, and when we may restrict an account.
Who provides Popaz
Popaz is jointly provided by Benedetto Pascucci and Arcangelo Massari, Via San Felice 141, Bologna, Italy. These Terms govern the use of Popaz.
Minimum age
You must be at least 18 to sign up. By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Popaz may suspend or close an account when it establishes that the user is under 18.
Account and security
You may use one personal account. You may not create an account for another person, transfer it, or use false details. Keep your email, handle, and profile details accurate. Protect your password and other sign-in credentials. You are responsible for how you use your account. After changing your handle or profile name, you must wait 14 days before changing that field again.
Your content
You must have the rights needed to upload text, images, music, video, models, and other people's data. Publishing content does not give Popaz the rights in it. You give Popaz a licence that is non-exclusive, applies worldwide, and costs no fee, so Popaz can host, adapt for technical needs, show, and distribute the content. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept in moderation cases for the period stated in the privacy notice.
Community rules
Do not publish illegal or pornographic content or content that shows explicit sexual acts. Sexual exploitation, threats, calls for violence, hate, harassment, scams, spam, malware, and another person's private data are also prohibited. Do not infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights. Do not evade restrictions, manipulate votes or interactions, access another person's account, harm the service, or use automated tools without written permission.
Sensitive and AI content
Sensitive content includes non-explicit nudity, including in artistic works and medical or documentary content, as well as depictions of violence. Declare content generated or significantly modified with AI. Popaz may add these labels after a review. Labels do not make pornography, calls for violence, hate, harassment, scams, or other prohibited content acceptable.
Reports and moderation
In the app, a signed-in user may report a profile, box, capsule, comment, showcase, or Chalkboard. A report identifies the content and the selected reason, while you may add details to explain it. Until a decision is made, the same person may submit one report for that profile or content and that reason; they may choose another reason or report it again after the decision.
People without an account can report illegal content by writing to info@popaz.eu. The email must explain why the content is illegal and say where it is, for example with the author's handle and the box title. It must also give the sender's name and email, except when it concerns child sexual abuse, and state in good faith that the information is accurate and complete. The joint controllers confirm by email that they received it and send the decision to the same address, together with the available remedies.
Popaz may take no action, label a box, remove content, or suspend an account.
Popaz communicates the decision to the affected author and the result to the person who submitted the report, in the app and by email. It tells the author the same way when it reviews the decision after an appeal or a correction. The person who reported can read their report, the decision, and any later corrections. The decision shows the result, reason, date, further information, and a link to these Community rules.
Only the affected author may submit one appeal explaining their reasons within six months while the measure remains active. If Popaz accepts the appeal, it restores the content or account or changes the labels.
How we rank content
Home contains sections ordered in different ways. Featured depends on activity during the previous seven days: Buzzes and Favorites have greater importance, followed by resonances and comments.
In For you, live broadcasts have priority, followed by Critics' choices, which Popaz curators pick by hand. When Personalised content is enabled, similarity to boxes you have added to Favorites, shared with a Buzz, or chosen through scouting comes next, followed by Buzzes from people you follow. The remaining order depends on Buzzes received by the box, the creator's follower count, comments, and recent updates.
Discover shows live broadcasts first and Critics' choices second. When Personalised content is enabled, it then considers similarity to your Favorites, Buzzes, and scouting, followed by Buzzes received during the previous thirty days and recent updates.
Search orders results according to the words you enter, while matches with the title, description, and creator's name, together with similarity in meaning, determine relevance. When relevance is equal, boxes updated more recently come first.
You can turn off Personalised content in Settings > Content; Home and Discover will then stop using your Favorites, Buzzes, and scouting, as well as Buzzes from people you follow. The other criteria described above will continue to apply. In Chalkboards, For you shows unopened messages before opened ones, with two messages from supported creators followed by one from discovery. When either group runs out, the list continues with the other, while supported creators' messages appear newest first.
Discovery checks how closely boxes match those in your Favorites, shared with a Buzz, or on which you have used scouting, when Personalised content is enabled. A message linked to a box uses that box, while showcases and profiles use the author's closest public and visible box. When matches are equal, newer messages come first, while messages without a possible match follow in the same date order. If you have no interests or turn off Personalised content, discovery uses only the date, starting with the newest messages.
Critics' choices shows the newest message for each selected box, following the same order as Discover. Each box counts toward your interests once, even when you use several actions among Favorites, Buzz, and scouting.
Trending shows chalkboards from ranked boxes in ranking order, choosing the newest message for each box in the list. In Critics' choices and Trending, filters narrow the selection and keep the same ranks. Opening messages leaves the order unchanged during browsing, while a refresh sets it again. New means the last twelve hours and Supported creators only selects creators you support, while For you also offers a destination filter.
Your own chalkboards remain on Home and in the screen where you manage them, while all three categories show messages from other creators. You can hide a creator's chalkboards without supporting them, and you can undo this choice or change it on their profile. This choice applies on Home and in all three categories, while support remains a separate choice that you can change at any time.
Resonances, scouting, and tokens
Resonances, scouting levels, tokens, quests, mystery boxes, and Shop items are not money or investments. They cannot be bought with money, sold, transferred, or redeemed.
Availability and service changes
Popaz is free and may pause because of faults, security, or technical work. We may change or retire a feature when required by the service or law. We will clearly explain changes that affect the contract.
Leaving and account closure
You can delete your account in settings. The account and its data are deleted immediately, except for data retained in a moderation case. Deletion closes any appeal still awaiting a decision. Reports, decisions, appeals, and moderation case material remain for 12 calendar months after the most recent closure of each case, as stated in the privacy notice. We may suspend or close an account for a serious, repeated, or illegal breach. While suspended, you can only view the decision, submit or read the appeal, open the legal documents, delete the account, or log out. Meanwhile your content stays hidden from other users. If you do not appeal, or if the appeal is rejected, we close the account 12 months after the decision and delete its data.
Law and remedies
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Relevant European Union rules also apply to the service, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Digital Services Act (DSA). If you use Popaz as a consumer, this choice does not limit the mandatory rights granted by the law of the country where you live. You may apply to the competent court or authorities provided by law. An adverse moderation decision also states any available external remedies.
Notices and written communications
To report content, use Report on the content you are viewing or, if you have no account, write to info@popaz.eu as described in the section on reports. info@popaz.eu is Popaz's single point of contact for users and authorities, and you can use it in Italian or English. For other communications, write to Benedetto Pascucci and Arcangelo Massari at the same address, without sending passwords or unsolicited copies of illegal content.
